yes figlet, the 8600gt is the little brother of the nvidia geforce 8800 series
although it dosent have the maximum power of the 8800gtx its a very good gaming card for a p.c user on a limited budget, and as the card is less than a hundred pounds it makes it possible to use two of these in a s.l.i(scalable link interface) set up,as long as you have a sli motherboard
in tests p.c,s with 2 x 8600gt get 75% better frame rates than p.c,s with single 8600gt,s
however even one of these cards are well capable of hitting frame rates of 50 to 75fps which is adequate for most p.c,s,remembering that anything over 40 to 50fps are pretty well seamless and farely smooth running
even the 8500 series of nvidia cards are not too bad,and again if you throw two of these together the frame rates are quite good
rating 4.5(nothing gets full marks)
good luck mate!

Yes, will last you for a long time. I would rate it at a 4 out of 5.

It doesn't say but with 256 meg of ram it may share the system ram when the onboard ram gets maxed out. May want to consider upgrading your system ram by at least 512 meg.

Yes, it is about half the speed of the 8800 card, but it is not HDCP compatible, you will need to upgrade to the more expensive 8600GTS to get that.

yes.
ddr2 clock speed is that the same as you mobo ?
or is your mobo fsb 533Mhz as the 663Mhz ddr2 will just clock down and the latency will go up
