Hi!
Your ex has such low self esteem he wants you to join the club. Don't! Before you show those text messages to the police or your solicitor, just think about these:
Q: How many men it takes to paper a bathroom?
A: One, but you have to slice him very thinly.
Three men find a lamp and when they clean it, out pops a genie. As there are three of them, he offers each just one wish. The first wishes he was ten times smarter than he already was. No problem for the genie. The second says he wants to be smarter than the first so asks the genie to make him a hundred times smarter. The third decides he wants to be smarter than both of the others put together, so asks the genie to make him a million times smarter - so the genie turns him into a woman.
The surgeon approaches the family of the coma patient and says that the only hope is a brain transplant. They have a mans brain at £2 million or a woman's brain at fifty quid.
"How come the male brain is so expensive and the female brain is cheap?" asks a family member.
"Well you see", replies the surgeon, "the woman's brain has actually been used".
Not all man are a*** holes - but you need to get some perspective. You are not a lower life form to any human being.
Hope you have a smile right now and one to put in your pocket for later.
Good wishes.

There is really nothing you can do but let the pain come and go. It's a natural healing and recovering process. His words hurt and the reason they hurt so bad is because you still love this guy. But if things are really over and you guys quit talking you will move on and not feel the pain any more. I've been through the same kind of situation. It just happens and it sucks and there is nothing no one can do or say. Just take things as they come. The only reason he is calling you these names is because he is hurting too. You are both in the same boat just with slightly situations. Hope this helps!

Wow, what a winner! Those text messages should be enough fuel to help you get over him. He sounds like such an a$$. You don't need that in your life and you don't deserve someone sending you texts putting you down. You're better than that. Is that how you want to be treated? I'm sure you don't...
I would delete the texts as soon as they come in and DON'T read them.
It's going to be hard at first, but the best advice I ever recieved is to keep busy! You're not going to want to go out and do things, but it's the best, fastest way to make yourself feel better. I'm not sure if you work or are summer vacation, but go out and do something. Be around your friends and family.
I went through a similar thing and i thought I was going to die. You have to be strong for yourself b/c no one can do that for you. Show him that you're better than he is, b/c you are!

There's nothing you can do to stop thinking about him except for trying to focus on different things (friends, family, hobbies, etc.) He's sending those messages to you because he's mean and he wants to hurt you. Ignore him. Even if he's hurt, he's not worth your time. If he was a good guy he would have spoken to you instead of breaking up with you and sending you inappropriate messages. Focus on other things in you life and you'll get over him in time.
