Perhaps a ball point or a roller ball pen, can anybody reccomend any pens or good manufacturers of pens.

I am willing to spend a bit of money on one but not anything ridiculous...Perhaps around 30 -50 pound.

Many thanks.

Parker pens are good, as are the space pens which you can use to write upside down, underwater writes on anything etc.. They are £14.99.

These pens were recommended by a man studying at a Sydney University. I have used the Velocity and Pilot, so i too can vouch for their use. As a student, a durable and lasting pen is important. Any of these pens are comfortable enough to use for either long or short periods.

I prefer the medium tip, as opposed to the smaller or larger tip.

I love my Parker pens! I also have a Waterman pen which I do not recommend. It's a roller ball, too bulky to write with and you have to keep reangling the pen so it writes without blotches.

I've had one of my Parker's for nearly ten years and I love it more than any other pen I own. It writes so well and it stays clog free when I don't use it for long periods of time.

I had a beautiful fountain pen by Kenzo - the only fountain pen I've ever been able to write with. (I'm left handed and generally trail a mess of ink all over the page). It was navy blue with a red stone set into the nib. I got it in Paperchase, UK. It cost about £60, ten years ago. I dropped it one day and it broke in 2. I've never managed to replace it and it couldn't be mended. I still miss it.

i am the same as you i have to have a good pen to write with i recommend the yoro pen at WHSmith it's nice to hold and writes nice and you can also see what you are writing i thing it is only £2.99 and just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad quality!

there is also another pen i don't know what the make is but it's nice to hold because it has a "pillow" grip and is also at WHSmith for £10.99

i find parker pens to be fantastic. easy to write with, fluid, not leak-prone AND totally easy to refil.
