All of my golden koi have been named Butterball, Bananafish, or Princess Buttercup - you are welcome to use any one of those.
However, if he is a sparkle-scaled (gin rin) koi, you might consider "Midas."
We also have/had koi named the following - feel free to use any that strike your fancy:
Chatty Cathy
Fatty Patty
Jane (she's plain!)
Winchester (gunmetal gray)
Cruella (spotted like a dalmation, with an evil temperament)
Dragonbreath
Sensei (teacher, in Japanese)
Sakura (cherry blossom, in Japanese)
Yuki (snow, in Japanese)
Duke
Eddie
Baby Duke (looked just like big Duke, only smaller)
Penny (copper-colored)
Hot Lips
Bozo
Saphire
Bones
Moby Jane (she was Moby Dick until we found out she was a girl)
Crow
No Name
Fugly
Hope this helps!

How about Cleo, like the goldfish on Pinnochio. Koi are, after all, big goldfish.
