Seriously, though - a strong belief in a God or gods of one's choosing often causes people to look at the Universe in such a way that God/gods' behavior/wishes/actions explain the Universe. By believing, you feel God.

Such is the nature of faith.

If there was an almighty and it wanted you to feel its existence, you would - unambiguously

If it did not wish you to do so, you would not - ever...

Kind of part and parcel to being almighty, no?
