I think quite a few women, no matter what their sexual preference, have indulged in some anal play...whether they admit it or not. It may just be a little light teasing with a fingertip, or it may be full penetration...but at some point in their sexual history, I would say probably 35 percent of women have tried SOMETHING.
Now, the percentage of women who are "Types" who really are into it all the time? I would say much much lower numbers. Often times it is just a spur of the moment...a drunken, lowered inhibitions moment, or a curiosity..not an activity done on a regular basis.

Since a woman has a vagina and vaginal sex feels so good to her, I would believe most women have no real interest in it and only indulge to please a male lover. There are probably a few but not as many as guys would like there to be. Women have nerve endings there but not as many as in the vagina and if not done correctly, it hurts like a bear! Since most guys are relatively clueless about a female's feelings and the need for ample lubrication (one gay's comment regarding anal sex was that there is never too much lube!), he probably hurts her the first (and only time after that pain) time and she cuts that off quickly unless she is into S&M.

I have a hard time believing any woman likes this. I believe some just say they do because they suffer from low self-esteem and would do anything to be accepted by a man.

I know a lot of girls who actually prefer anal sex over vanginal sex. A lot of these girls I know can only reach orgasm through the back door and actually some only have anal sex.
Guys love anal sex. It's tighter and feels better.
