Im 19 and I had sex and then my periods started to change. I took a pregnancy test before my period and it was negative. Is there anything wrong with me?

LaLa,

When I first started my cycle, I believed the hype about "How ever you start is how it's always going to be". HA! That was the best lie I've ever heard.

Menstrual cycles seem to have a life of their own. Depending on how I feel mentally & physically, I can range from 3-13 days! Just enjoy the shortened time. Take a HPT if you're not sure. Or see your OB ! Good Luck :-)

If you are in your teens thank god! This means that your periods are getting lighter and not as long. Which when I was a teen and having a period for a week IT SUCKED! There is nothing to really worry about as long as you are still having one and that it is pretty normal. Congrats on having two more days of freedom! I now only have my period 4 days and I used to have it a week.

when i was a teenager, i had pretty regular flow all thru my period (i bled for the WHOLE SEVEN DAYS). but now i only bleed for like two and a half days, and then spot for the remaining four days, and only need a pantiliner, so it is kinda convenient.

it's totally normal, most women's cycles are heavy the first and second day, and maybe the third, then taper off. nothing to worry about :)

A period can last 3-7 days, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just be glad its shorter.

Nothing to worry about. My period goes in cycles, I can be regular for a few years, than bam it changes. Then normal for a few years and bam it changes again. As long as you have no other symptoms just let nature take its course.

thats pretty normal, actually. maybe you had a heavier period last month or your cycle could be a bit irregular. nothing to worry about though.
