Ok I am having a problem. About 3 weeks ago I went swimming at a friends house for a prolonged time. The next day I felt all itchy *Down There* and assumed it was a yeast infection. So I treated it with monistat 1. Nothing. I wait a few days and then use Monistat 3. It felt better until my period went away. Now I just have this constant burning sensation in my vagina. There is no discharge. No odor. minimum swelling. But still i am burning internally. I have been with the same sex partener for more than a year, and I know he has only been with me. I haven't been tested in a while, but I don't think it takes an STD i could have gotten from my ex over a year to show up. What could be causing this constant burning? Another type of infection...but with no discharge? I am worried about what it could be, because i have never had a problem like this before.

I am beginning to wonder if i am confusing burning on the inside with a UTI. I am haing to pee a lot. So i got some AZO on my lunch break to see if that helps out. Like I said, the burning may be coming from the *other* inside.

Ok so I took some AZO standard on lunch break, drank a ton of water, and waited until I was bursting to pee...and I seem to be feeling better already.

Yes it can take over a year for something to show up. It can take as long as seven or more years to show up. You might just be having a reaction to the water if they had just recently put chemicals in it or you might be having a delayed out break from something else. The last time I went to a pool at a hotel I had problems because they had recently put in chemicals & didn't process them properly. A girlfriend got real bad severely dry skin "DOWN THERE & IN THERE" from letting a jet from a hot tub force chemically treated water in there. I'm sure your doctor can prescribe something to help

Since it started after going swimming, I'm wondering if it could be an allergic reaction or irritation relating to the clorine. If that's the case, you'd be given some sort of antihistamine cream to use until the symptoms stop. Don't use cortizone cream or benadryl unless that's what the doctor advises. This is only a guess on my part, but only your doctor will be able to say for sure.

I have no clue what this could be, but you need to get to your doctor as soon as you can.
