I can't pick one but I can suggest a studio outtake by the Grateful Dead called The Barbed Wire Whipping Party which was recorded during Aoxomoxoa. It features the band loaded on laughing gas and chanting "Meat, meat, gimmie my meat" with a basic drum beat while a voice comes on and says Hello. It soon becomes undecipherable what "he's" saying as the voice pans from one speaker to another making out only snippets here and there "...I went to God...and that's when he told me to tell you to hang loose, it's alright..." before the song finally ends with what sounds like someone chanting OM through an echo box. This was also going to be released on the expanded Aoxomoxoa back in '01 but Phil Lesh pulled it.

The Rolling Stones - In Another Land

...not the most psychedelic, but it's the first one that came to mind. Actually, every song from Their Satanic Majesties Request is psychedelic.

There are two groups I would check out. The first is Dream Theater. They have a killer sound and many psychedelic songs.
The other I would say is Soul Coughing. They sing a song call "Is Chicago, Is Not Chicago" This is way up there on the list.

I think Pink Floyd definately set the standards for psychedelia but my choice would probably be Welcome To The Machine or anything by Ancients, they're a pretty trippy group.

'It's Alright Ma,I'm Only Bleeding' by Bob Dylan.
I believe it's a song about death by a thousand cuts to ones sense of consciousness.
