Being a drama queen or a diva is not at all the same as being an actress, in fact, most directors don't want to work with a drama queen or a diva - let alone a 14 year old drama queen and diva.

However, if you are serious about becoming an actor... and not just about fame, you should really study the craft - take classes, audition, and hopefully be in shows and learn from those more experienced around you.

I would be very wary about imta, such things cost a lot of money and very little usually comes from it. The money is much better spent on classes, headshot and postage to send your pictures and resumes around.

If you truly want to be a great actress, go for it, never give up, and never think you're finished learning.

Sounds good to me but I think that the money that IMTA will take from you ( $700+?) would be better spent with a photographer that specializes in portfolios. That's what my daughter did. I went with her to the IMTA place and it seems almost like a car sales approach. She didn't fall for it and a photographer told her later that it would have been a waste of money.
