I watching this 'maboke' a Congolese movie and the main character was happily married. when she started having problems with her hubby, he was coming home late, not eating his dinner, he even pretended he was going away on a business trip then his boss turned up to his house to look for him. she used to confide in her best friend Melody and the whole time Melody was the other woman. its quite sick but its also inspired from real life experiences. Do you guys think that certain friends can use what you confide in them against you for their own gains.
oh by the way i am completely happy in my relationship and there is complete trust. this question is just because i am curious.

Keep your personals personal and private. This will come back to haunt you in the future. Never share with anyone what you would not want on the front page of the local newspaper. Friendships do not always last a lifetime, in fact rarely do.,

It depends on whether they are real friends or not... I talk to my girlfriends about personal things that are going on in my relationship and I know that not for a moment they would go to my better half and disclose our conversations. My best friends are his best friends but I trust my friends not to go behind my back... But after saying all this I truly think that if you're having problems in your relationship instead of going to your mates, you should just talk to your partner about it.

Personal should remain personal. People are human and will, no matter how you tell them differently, judge other human beings. I have always found it best to keep my personal life personal and deal with life's little idiosyncrasies on the home front.

Never tell something to a mutual friend. They might decide to have a chat with your significant other.
It wasn't front page news or a dirty secret but I was disappointed that a friend went behind my back with something I talked to her about.

I strongly believe that women as a whole talk to much to their girlfriends on issues that should stay between husband and wife.

One should always respect another's right to privacy. Telling things out of "school" is dishonorable, and as you point out, can be dangerous.

I agree. People do that already without invitation. For their own gain. Why would you invite someone to disrespect you?

never talk about with your friends anything you wouldn't want everyone to know. If you don't want HIS friends knowing about your period, don't talk to your friends about your sex life. If you can't discuss it with your father, don't tell your girlfriends.
