Having unprotected sex at any time, including when you're bleeding, is very risky. Along with the risk of becoming pregnant, there is also a risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease (STD), such as chlamydia, genital warts, or HIV. The only surefire way to prevent pregnancy and STDs is abstinence. If you do have sex, use a condom every time to protect against STDs. And talk to your doctor about additional forms of contraceptives.

You wont get std's if neither of you have had sex with anyone before each other. I am also in my twenties and had only one partner. My boyfriend and I use condoms when having sex when I'm on my period because its messy. My guy thinks its a turn on but everyone is different. I recommend putting a towel down on the bed when doing it. Its easier to clean up that way!!
It can be sore on the first (and sometimes the second) day of your period BTW.

There is no disease he can pickup from you if you have never had any with anyone else, Some virgin newly weds go for std testing before embarking on the sexual adventure , maybe thats an option for you.
But Personally- I wouldnt do it during a period, it's nessy and gross and puts me off, so I can't imagine how my bf would feel about it....

FYI since none of the other posters said it. Just because you never had sex doesn't mean you can't catch STD. Many diseases can be transmitted through oral sex, and a few other can be transmitted through other various means.
you must also take into account. Non sexually transmitted diseases can be transmitted through the blood too. STD aren't the only things to worry about

As long as both of you are healthy (no STDs) then he wont get anything. He should wear a condom, since it is possible to get pregnant.
Orgasm can help with cramps. Jus place an old towel on the bed so you don't ruin your sheets.

He probably has nothing to worry about. You on the otherhand are at risk for infections. During your period your cervix is partially open, this opens you up for infections such as pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial vaginosis, and common urinary tract infections. Sex during your period is safe but you should use a condom to keep things cleaner and reduce the risk of infection.

I am not sure why you are waiting until marriage to have sex. But, if you are saving yourself because of Christian beliefs, the Bible specifically tells us that a man should not lie with a woman during her monthly period. That should be enough reason not to do it. And, if your reasoning has nothing to do with your faith, I would still advise you not to do it. It's messy, and it can be a big turn-off for your man.

No, as long as you are healthy and don't have a std he won't catch anything. It's safe. But it's kinda messy though.
