I think that it's the face that they have to put on for society. They are so adamant about seeming "normal" that they will be with someone that they have absolutely no physical attraction to.

I have always wondered this. I have no idea how a gay men, NOT bi-sexual men can get it up for a woman. Like Gov. McGreevy for example. He is Gay, not Bi. But, it's these men who make arguements in favor of homosexuality being a "choice" seem that much more logical, doesn't it? Ultimately fueling the religious right and anti-gay groups.

Sometimes, yes. I often think that's the real cause of a lot of the erection problems reported over in the Mens Health section, even though they insist how much they love their sweeties and how straight they are. But others don't have any problem. Even though they may prefer men in their lives, they don't have a problem "performing" with women.

What I don't understand is, why not just be gay? If they are gay, they are gay. Why mess with woman at all. My stepfather came out to my Mom. It was tough, but they are still friends. Why hide being gay?

Many imagine she's a man while doing "it". It can sometimes be a very painful emotional experience for the guy because although she wants him to want her during sex, he knows he can't.

They could be Bisexual or they could be thinking of some hot guy in a speedo.
