Probably get slaughtered for this but my choice is David Beckham! Thanks to all the media crap and hullabaloo, Beckham just doesn't seem to rate with the majority of England fans and jealousy and ignorance clouds the judgement of others. Since he returned to McLaren's squad, England have looked a completely different team, playing with a lot more confidence and desire. He is still the only player available to them that can cross a ball accurately on the run and can be lethal at dead-ball situations. Definately under-rated by too many people.

Carlos Puyol. The main reason is because he is a defender and most defenders are under rated.

I agree with Quaresma... no one really gives him much attention but the boy is damn good. And part of it is cause he played in Superliga but now that he's going to La Liga (well he's rumoured to) he's gonna get so much more attention.
I also kinda think Scholes is underrated... I know some people are gonna be like WHAT?!?! but it's true, I know so many people who don't consider him that good..

Without a doubt it must be Frank Lampard. He is absolutely worthless for England, and is pretty replaceable for Chelsea, too. He cannot serve the ball and he certainly cannot score goals either. It astounds me that both England and Chelsea cling so tenaciously to him.
