Try and look at the glass to be half full, and not the other way around, it really is a matter of how you look at things. We will all have our days, that we are grumpier than other, that's normal, but if your finding it that you are not in a happy mood on most days, then I think it's time to talk to either your doctor or a therapist. I hope it helps, just remember that 40 is the new 30. Take care, and don't worry be happy.

No one is always in a happy mood. At 50 I have decided that I'm not going to waste one more minute of my life on worrying about the future, fussing about what could have been or wondering about the choices i have made. Instead I am enjoying everything to the fullest and doing things that maybe I put on hold while I was full filling responsibilities when I had kids at home. Life is good and I intent to live it. Good Luck to you.

Happiness is attainable by those who wake up in the morning and decide it will be a good day. "This is the day the Lord has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad.

In other words, it's a choice. Life is good no matter what your age. Each trial is just some more experience we can share with others later when they go through the same thing or something very similar. The bright side of 40s is you no longer feel the need to prove yourself to others and are more comfortable with who you are. And that gets better with age!!!!

Start by looking inwards. If you are not happy with certain things in your life, change them. Then look around you and see what makes you unhappy - get rid of them. After that sit back and enjoy your life. There is a saying "Age is only a number". There is no reason why you shouldn't be happy no matter what your age.......................it's time to re evaluate your life. I am 40+ and have done just that. It takes time to get things right, I'm still working on it.

see, it;s not the matter of age tha's what u said it's all in the hands of a person that how he feels about himself. at this age u can be as happy as as u r in ur good olden days. u should start giving an eye to ur passions and it can be anything like dancing, singing, painting and anything u may prefer. playing with children can be a good option coz children's zest is something u know. do more chating with ur friends and u must create a positive environment by thinking positive thoughts.

Well life is not about being happy always. It would actually get boring if you are happy always. A little bit of sadness won't do any harm. To be happy always you should be genuinely happy. Trying to look happy will show.

All the best.
Happy life!!

You'd think that being over 40 would be enough to be happy. I mean when you reach that age, you usually have a good career, a wife/husband, children, a nice house and you're supposed to know what you want in life. So it shouldn't be that hard to have a smile on your face...

A large part of it comes from acceptance of some things and changing those you dont like..but you always have to work at being happy because so many things are always there to bog you down
