There are windshield crack repair kits you can try; I've never had any success with them.
One thing I've tried, that might have helped, is Super Glue- the original, thin kind, not the gel. I say it might have helped because the crack didn't grow any more- then again, maybe it wouldn't have otherwise.
The problem with cracks in glass (IIRC) is that they tend to grow, because the crack soaks up moisture from the air and from rain, which wicks into the crack and acts as a wedge to enlarge the crack.
If it actually works, I believe Super Glue may work by sealing the crack and preventing more moisture from entering; and possibly by displacing the water that's already in there (Super Glue is moisture-activated, part of the reason the tubes dry out soon after you open them).

I think your out of luck, once it starts running it won't stop until it gets to the bottom. Usually your deductable on glass is $100 and I don't know where you live but here in Ohio where I live there are places that will replace your windshield for what the insurance pays them and forget your deductible.

You can't stop it.
I live in AZ. and the insurance company will pay for one new windshield a year because of the rocks. Check your insurance policy to see if it is covered and definetly check to see if your premium will be increased if you submit a claim. Good Luck

Unfortunately, you can't stop it. Cracks longer than the length of a dollar bill can't be repaired. Looks like its time for new windshield.

I know people without glass coverage who faced that issue. There is nothing that will stop in from spreading particularly if you travel on rough bumpy roads or drive it in cold weather.
Try putting a Sharpie marker line at both ends and you can watch it grow in length.

It shouldn't crack anymore than it already is. Windsheild glass in nearly 1/8in thick, and very hard to crack. However if something else hits your glass you may have a problem, since the glass has weakend from the other crack. Just get it fixed. Looking at 300 dollars maybe.

buy a new one, it will continue to run until it hits a corner and then when you least expect it, it will shatter.
