Sugar is only bad in excess. In the USA the people tend to over do the whole sugar thing. I use dark brown sugar for almost all of my baking needs and we use dark Karo for our pancakes if we don't have any fruit. People went crazy with the sugar after the depression. My grandmother said it was because junk had become such a rare thing that people wanted it all the time after everything got back to normal. Although white sugar is worse for you than dark sugar, the sugar substututes are way worse than any regular sugar ever thought of being. Chemically made anything can't be good for you.

I are aware of it's now not well in your well being, however I nonetheless love to have a few in my meals as soon as in a at the same time. I continuously purchase natural and organic sugar although due to the fact that it is not subtle utilizing animal merchandise, so perhaps it is relatively more healthy. Although, over all, I agree it is not healthful. But while eaten moderately and now not an excessive amount of immediately, then I do not believe any individual could endure an excessive amount of from it.

No I don't think they get it. I'm sure most Americans don't realize that manufacturers put sugar in all sorts of foods, like tomato sauce, salad dressings, potato chips and other salty snacks, canned fruits, applesauce, etc. That's why I avoid processed foods and if I want some yogurt or orange juice, I'll make my own.
The best natural sweeteners are pure raw honey and maple syrup. But even these should be limited in one's diet. I heard that other natural sweeteners like Stevia and Xylitol are also good, but I haven't tried them yet.
I read this really good article about how white sugar is bad for you. I found it on www.mercola.com, but you have subscribe to Dr. Mercola's newsletter to view it.
