You can have one when ever you want if you know how to please yourself.

There is an age before which you are not physically, mentally, or emotionally capable of having an orgasm. That is not tied directly to puberty, even though both are tied to maturation.

Scan through some of the questions and answers here, and you will find women in their 20's, give or take, that do not have the emotional maturity to really handle an orgasm. They have been having periods for years. But they ask orgasm related questions that just scream out that they don't have something "under control."

Then there are those who masturbate enough to have an orgasm, but don't know how to have one with another partner. They've had orgasms and they've had sex, but seldom do the two get together.

I suggest you wait to start having sex until you are mature enough to not need to ask this question -- it is one of those questions that will become intuitively obvious later on in your life. The question sounds like it is coming from a 12 to 13yo. Unless you are engaged, I'm thinking you are too young to be asking this.

There was a time, not that long ago, when the average age of marriage was mid-teens. A 15yo or 16yo bride was not unusual. Now society has condemned the young to go another decade before marriage. And that decade is when the sex drive and hormones are driving them to have sexual relations. Then society, being completely stupid in most areas, looks at the teen-pregnancy rate and wonders what is wrong with kids.

Nothing.

I'm not sure if I think we need to return to pre WWI marriage trends, but I certainly think we need to do something like that.

But back to your question. The date you are mature enough to have an orgasm and the date you are mature enough to start having periods are loosely linked together, but only because both are tied to maturation, not each other.

nope. you can have an orgasm at any age, it's just that children are usually unaware of their masturbatory habits, and don't usually follow through to conclusion. all it takes is the ability to know your body and find your hot spots to have an orgasm. happy hunting!
