Firstly what you need to understand is in what format they have been written. If mp3, wma, then use windows media player to 'burn' them onto a CD-R NOT CD-RW as not all Cd players will recognize a CD-RW disk. The disk player should contain a list of symbols as to what it will play.
If they are in ogg format you'll need to convert them to mp3 else they'll only play on a Linux based system.

Besides needing CDRW CDs, you'll need software that can convert your music to make it playable on a CD player (if you want to be able to play these CDs on a CD player that is). It's easy enough with the right software. Roxio does it. Windows Media Player does it.

Now that I've said that, can I talk you out of using CDRWs?
CDRWs are a big pain. They're slow and cumbersome. Just use the CDs. They're cheap.

If you're just interested in storage, then the idea of rewriting to a CD is a time waster and there are so many better methods out there for storage. Of course, there are people out there who would disagree vehemently if they heard me touting other methods. They're plastic huggers and love the CDs CDRWs etc. So use your own judgment.

If you just want to dump the music onto a disk, for backup, then you only need a CD-R (Write once) disk.

CD RWs are useful if you need a 700 MB floppy disk, and are going to keep changing the information on them.

Re-writables are nothing but trouble. They tend not to work very well on anything but the computer that made them. It's a lot cheaper and less hassle to just burn a CDR.
