If no one wants to be technical about answering this...
"technically" people are inaway euthanised, they have either the tubes pulled or the electricity is shut down. People are given extra medication so they die of an OD (over dose).
So people are sometimes treated the same way animals are, especially when it comes to a humain way of taking care of business.

All they've gotta do is take the terminally ill to a simply red concert then they would die of boredom!
I agree with you, why keep people a live if they have no quality of life...I'm 42 ( no quality of life ) and I'm thinking of doing the honourable thing by jumping off a cliff....I've always wondered if I could fly!!!!

Because whilst there is life there is hope....I think that is the one of the arguments against euthanasia, even if that life is hopeless.
Animals are not able to make choices though they know...I know this from my own experience with my dearest pal who was suffering from kidney failure and I decided it was time for me dear old moggie to have some peace.
It must be awful for those with terminally ill loved ones watching them suffer knowing that nothing can be done to free them from that suffering for ever. Very difficult.
PS This being said I know that my Sister-in-law was helped along the way by her doctor who was treating her...blessed relief to her.

and why do people eat animals and not people? people will eat a dead body of a filthy chicken but not another human? how is it any worse? and anyone who believes that animals have no soul is just ignorant. i support euthanasia of people if they are terminally ill but an animal that is euthanised has no choice. i do not mean to rant but that is just sad.

Yes, they do, and you raise a very valid point. We abuse thousands of people by forcing them to live thru unbearable suffering just in case someone should abuse the sytem of assisted suicide. We have no logic.

We euthanize animals to put them out of their misery; and yes; some countries do provide lethal injection to their terminally ill patients; but this country isn't one of them; but they do lethally inject some criminals in some states.

Well, we kinda do really. What Dr. Kevorkian called "assisted suicide" or we give a lethal injection to someone on death row.
