You definately have a hard decision to make. I'm a certified Apple Specialist and PC Specialist. There are many difference in both the Mac and the PC. The points you stated for the Mac computer is true. Apple computers are known for better quality and pcs well are fighting back with better pricing. Its true that Macs have less known viruses BECAUSE hackers tend to find exploitations from Windows just because the mass population uses Windows Operating Systems. If Macs become more popular, the more viruses you will get to have. Yes you can install Windows onto your Mac nowadays but there's a new operating system coming out for Apple so you might want to wait if you decide on a Mac. Apple computers are well known for photo editing abilities. Damn they look amazing too. 100% compatable with Windows so no worries about anything like word documents not being able to open or emails that don't get read. Mac systems are reall toned down for new computer users and people who revert back to macs from pcs have difficulty understanding the functions because they overthink how to use a Mac. Macs also in the past year issued a standard 2 button mouse just like PCs instead of the normal 1 button mouse making pcs users feel at ease with the Mac. In pricing pcs are definately cheaper and the quality isn't there. Macs are expensive but within reason. If you need more help feel free to message me

It's a matter of preference. MACs are using Intel processors so the speeds are pretty much the same. If you are not familiar with the MAC OS, you may get frustrated. It is very different from Windows.

Working in IT, I have seen a lot of people request the new MAC Book Pros because its the latest and greatest and then turn around and ask to be switched back to a Windows machine because their productivity sank. Again, get what you are prefer using.

You can install the Windows OS on a MAC using a software called Parallels. You'd need 2GB of RAM. It actually runs pretty smooth. Pretty nice but i've never been a fan of running virutual OS sessions.

Oh, and don't be fooled when people say MACs don't get crash. I support thousands of computers here at work and have seen many MACs crash, freeze, and lock up. There are just fewer out there. I would say the ratio may be a bit lower than Windows machines, but not by much.

Well without specifics get a Macbook or any Intel Cored Macs and keep your option open as undecided as possible to put Windows in a Mac (not older non-Intels; wrong CPU).

Mac OS doesn't get that much virus - only because it has a very small fraction to the hordes running Windows. As a malware writer you would choose the greater of evils to do. Not the hardware.

Yes, if you get one of the newer Intel based Macs, you can install Vista (or XP) on it. However, you are now as susceptible to virus' as any regular Windows user. Any computer will be fast if it has nice specs.
