Well...I think all the money we are wasting in Iraq should go to buy children bread, and then we'd have plenty left over for sex changes for everyone who wants one.
So, I take it you are a socialist, and don't feel those that have earned their money have the right to spend it how they choose?
The founders of the The Bible network have a dozen mansions; why can't I spend less than a hundred grand being who I was born to be?
I'd much rather see the money spent teaching people like you how to read and spell.

All my life, I struggled with depression and deep anxiety. I always felt like there was a part of me missing, like I was somehow flat or inauthentic, and I really felt like I was being forced by society, or God, or some greater authority like that, to be male. Looking back, I can see that I had an interest in Barbies and ballet as a child, I was fascinated with cross-dressers all through high school, I was intensely afraid of my body masculinizing during puberty, I subconsciously saw men as a separate gender from myself - in short, I was a repressed and miserable person.
Then, I started my gender transition.
Now, every day I wake up and feel like I have something I can be truly and deeply thankful for. My art is blossoming. I no longer fear going to work, and school is becoming more manageable. For the first time, I feel whole.
But oh, certainly a major transformative process that cures a serious psychological malady and changes the course of someone's life for the better isn't worth the time or money. -_-

Why does someone want a 'sex change'? Because that person's sex is wrong for WHO THEY ARE.
It's a congenital medical condition (transsexualism, or Benjamin's syndrome; look it up); a person having a 'sex change' isn't changing onto something else; they're changing into something they ALREADY ARE.
There are transsexual people in the 'third world'; transsexualism occurs in every culture, in any nationality, and has done so for as long as recorded history.
"jazzy"; you're right, but you're wrong; a man who has a 'sex change' IS still a man - because he ALWAYS WAS a man, even when he had a female body; a woman who has a sex change was always a woman even when she had a penis.
It's not about wanting to be something you're NOT; it's about needing to be something you ARE.

"Why is it that
people in the third world don,t have problems with wanting to
be a woman if they are born a man ."
change of gender status is a common option in many tribal cultures, and some non-tribal cultres, do some google searches on "two-spirit" and "hijra"
and if you want to give money to the little third world children give your own damn money, not someone else's, I'm sure its very easy to be generous with another person's funds

People in third-world countries can also be conflicted by gender disphoria. If you live in an impoverished nation, you can't really expect anything resembling competent medical care, so complex surgery like a sex change is out of the question.

SO then it is same to assume that you dont like people who go and get a face lift or a boob job or some other plastic surgery done to them, right? That industry makes tons of money if not more because there are more people getting that done then the transgender getting the sex change. They would be able to give more people in the third world money to feed and clothe themselves why dont you go and pick on them instead of someone who wants to look like what they feel inside? who are you to pass judgement onto them? last i heard you were not GOD.

I think that it's good that you have an opinion, but I think it's a little one sided. I do not have a problem with you making choices in life based on your religious beliefs, but not all of us buy into it.
And furthermore, have you ever known anyone that was trans-gendered? I didn't think so. All I would like is for people to walk a mile in someone else's shoes before making statements like this one.
And lastely...there are TONS of trans-gendered people in the 3rd world. Even our own Native American's had trasn-gendered...they were looked upon with very high regard.
But anyway...have a nice day!!

Its not sick its just not overly common. Its gender identity issues they cant explain you just feel like your the wrong sex in the wrong body. I really dont understand it but if I was going through it I wouldnt be able to explain it either. Science sometimes dosent have explanations and all things that are natural are not always good. Spider Venom, Some Drugs. Some things that are unatural are also good different medications that heal, vitamins etc.... I quess if that is one issue we dont have to deal with then we can worry about something else more important.

What gives you the right to judge other people... It's not any of your business what other people do in any way shape or form...
Why don't you deal with your mental issues and leave everyone else alone...
