Let's take a survey, shall we!?
1,000,000,000 Hindus
1,200,000,000 Muslims
1,000,000,000 Buddhists/Jains/Jews
1,500,000,000 Sikhs/Taoists/Shinto/non-relig... and Indigenous religions (oh yeah, and gays.)

4.7 billion people. Wow, if that's your idea of ultimate goodness, I'd hate to see your idea of a vicious god. Your claims of benevolence and kindness are a fraud. You make me sick the way you slander whatever Creator there may actually be. Your kind, the superstitious and insane, have always stood against truth and decency in the world. You don't deserve respect; you deserve ridicule.

Too many.

See my question about conservatives and the sin of war.
They couldnt answer it outright, only justify what they are comfortable with, hypocrisy and all.

I don't think Christians say God hates people who aren't of their religion. Some people are just extreme, though.

As a Buddhist I have the privilege of getting my religion slandered often. I try to ignore it. Once when I was 5 a Catholic missionary at the market handed me a pamphlet with the Virgin on the cover, but I told her I was Buddhist. She yelled after me that I was "going straight to hell." I tried to just ignore her, but I don't think it was very nice. I respect Christians who know the boundaries, but I dislike people who try to preach their religion to people and tell them they're sinners.

They're wrong, of course. In fact, if you look at the pattern of natural disasters of the past few years, Hurricanes, Fires, Floods, Tornados, etc. they support an entirely different conclusion. It would appear that God hates Southern Fundies. And isn't too happy with those who harbor them.

"The same God who sees the Sparrow Fall, hears the hate that people spew in His name."

I am atheist/agnostic so I don't disagree with your analysis. However, there are many good people who believe in various things. As one poster comments, it is not the teaching of Jesus to act the way many Christians do. I am also rude to Christians when they come across as you state. That is not the majority though. Don't judge them due to their religion. Judge them on how they interact with their fellow humans.

So, other than your visceral hatred of the religious right, do you have any facts, evidence, testimony or proof that all Christians in the US South have claimed that God hates anybody at all?

Or is this just typical leftist anti-religious vacuous spewing?

It isn't just the south. I live where James Dobson is headquartered. And Ted Haggard was before his indiscretion.

Are you a Christian? I am, and I will be honest with you I hear Liberals and non-Christians invoking this, but not Christians. You might want to dust off your Bible if you own one and read it, I wonder if you don't have a pretty odd vision of who God is and what he stands for. For that matter who Christians are and what they stand for. Thanks

Any religion or person that claims they are the only ones going to heaven are deluded. It isn't just the religious right but they are leading the pack right now...

Too many for their God to be a Christian one. Radical Christianity is one problem that has to be dealt with.
