Other than pressure washing and using TSP to clean it, is there any additional prep necessary? Should I use a direct-to-metal primer if I encounter bare aluminum? I will be using Sherwin Williams "Superpaint" satin. I will be spraying it. I usually use a 415 tip, but I have considered using a fine-finish tip such as a 412. Any suggestions are appreciated.

sounds pretty good, I would rather see you use Benjamin Moore paint, but I can't complain, you are using a quality paint, which is very important. if you have any bare metal, it wouldn't hurt to use a primer, but I wouldn't worry if it is just a few spots here and there. the only other thing i would be worried about is damageing to siding with the p/w. remember, alum siding is VERY thin, too much pressure, and you will have dents and damage on your siding. good luck

One thing to consider. Aluminum siding expands and contracts with temperature changes. Paint the ends of the siding (where it meets the uprights at corners) while it is cool and the siding is contracted. Otherwise, when it contracts, you will see the old paint. Good luck.
