I Have a wee bit of a problem with the monitor.. caused by the computer.. I actually had to turn the monitor onto its side in order to use the computer or to read anything. David was using the computer the other day and doesn’t think he pressed anything by accident but the problem has been on the monitor since. Just wondering if you may have any solutions or ideas??

By the way is it safe to have the monitor on its side? Will it overheat or anything weird like that?

Thanx to everyone for answering....... I looked at the problem before asking, but really wanted to know if their was an easier way to fix it other than going into the Display settings,as she just might, I mean just might not understand an explanation via email. I'd go round to fix it but she's in Ireland. Doing the Ctrl+Alt Up Arrow thing doesn't work on my pc for some reason, but thanx again for all your answers and I have my fingers crossed that she manages to have her computer desk looking as it should soon

well thanks loads for the best chuckle of the day so far, i don't think it is safe to use the monitor on it's side, i think probably best to leave the monitor as it is and turn the computer on it's side, along with everything else of course, including the desk, seat and the user, nice one. Yes, definately the controls as described above. We actually adjusted 4 of the monitors in the office after reading this, sadly those who had a liquid lunch were a little dismayed. take care and good luck.

Right click on an empty part of the screen (not and icon) and go into graphics and rotation fix it from there and when it's right way up. disable rotation and it will never happen again.

Look around the display settings.... should give you an option to rotate the desktop to original config.
