I believe your soul is the observer within. The consiousness that makes your life your own individual experience but also connects you to everyone and everthing.

Act 3:23 And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

2 scriptures from King James Bible showing that the 'soul' is NOT immortal.

These scriptures suggest that a 'soul' is a living thing.

You are your soul.
Where do you reside?
You SHOULD know that, but off course, with the low education level in this society, you dont know, and I dont blame you.
I can asure you you are not at the bottom of your foot.
I can't tell you where you are, that is very personal and it is for you to find out. But let me give you a clue, if you are not physical because you are a spirit, who sais that you have to occupy a space in the PHYSICAL universe?
We are entering into a whole new world, it is not a physical world, it has no time, matter, energy or space. It is THAT 'world' that makes the physical universe.
I hope I have not lost you, and I dont expect any points, just trying to help.

The physical attributes of the soul have not been observed by me. The physical effects of the soul are. so by the effects, I suggest it's existence. emotional reactions and ambitions of the heart. the constant and even duplicity choices made.
Dreams and desires. Creativity. Music is the sound of a soul, channeled out of the body.
That sixth sense, that feeling you got for no discernible reason. that dream that revealed something that hasn't happened yet and don't understand.
Why one soul is akin to another. Resonance? no. Soul.

Where? your whole body. and I think sometimes beyond it.

It seems to me that 'soul' is a convenient word meant to describe the phenomenon of existence, living, procreating etc. When these activities cease there is no life. Now soul has ' left' the body. It is a non-entity and has no physical existence. It cannot be found intra-corporal or extra-corporal place. It is an abstraction, convenient to answer many questions, and is also question begging. Is the answer 'soulless'?

It has been considered a person is thhe soul, the body is a veichle for it. the soul is oft considered to be timeless or ageless

I have also come across,
I am not that which is outside me, it changes yet I am still here
I am not my body, it changes and ages, yet I am still here
I am not my experience, for it changes and I am still here
I am not my emotions for they change and yet I am still here
I am not my thoughts for they change, yet I am still here
since a person cant conclusivly state what it is, but can what it is not, seems fairly reasonble theory.

there is also the school of thought that all of the soul is in the body. and also the belief that all of the body is in soul, but not all the soul is in the body. I belief the latter.

there are those that would site kirlian photography as evidence. (not sure on spelling there)

there are those that may point you toward quantum physics. perhaps the film "what the bleeb do we know" which has the longest list of phd's for a proffesionally made film I have ever seen. not to mention that its quite interesting.

ultimately it comes down to personal belief and perspective.
whats yours?

The soul is a spirit. It is the spirit of you. It resides in your body because your body cannot be you without your soul. The only physical manifestation of your soul is your body residing on this earth. The soul is the breath of life that was given to the body in order to give it life. Because technically, we're just dust and without the soul, we'll be back in the dust. It is different though from other living things since the soul allows to think, to feel, and to connect with something beyond us, unlike animals which act primarily on instinct.

It is wrong to think of the soul as something separate and apart from the physical you. It is not a physical entity, such as a organ or limb might be. As long as you are alive, you (physical) and your soul are a unity. The soul-body duality was a category mistake. When a person dies, that personality which had manifested itself in his/her physical being does not get extinguished but lives on in a different dimension (plane). In religious and spiritual parlance, we tend to refer to the person's soul 'leaving' the body at that stage, but we must not think of it too crudely in materialistic terms or we end up with the 'ghost-in-the-machine' view of man.

The human soul is both the most complex and the most lofty of souls. The sages have said: "She is called by five names: Nefesh (soul), Ruach (spirit), Neshamah (breath), Chayah (life) and Yechidah (singularity)". The soul's five "names" actually describe five levels or dimensions of the soul. Nefesh is the soul as the engine of physical life. Ruach is the emotional self and "personality." Neshamah is the intellectual self. Chayah is the supra-rational self, the seat of will, desire, commitment and faith. Yechidah connotes the essence of the soul, its unity with its source, the singular essence of God. For the essence of the soul of man is "literally a part of God above", a piece of God in us, so to speak.

GOOD LUCK!

soul is simply your true essence, and non-physical.

it is the belief that we are the body that leads to the notion of a location.

however, the body is a symbol, an expression of your true essence, and it is physically expressed as the heart, with all the subtle connotations that the heart suggests.

when you want to indicate yourself, 'who, me?', where do you point?

this true self, however, not of the physical, it is everywhere and nowhere, at all times.

you can always feel it, your soul, by focussing on the felt sense of self in the body, and remaining in that place.

it leads to the bliss of dwelling solely in the soul, the self.
