but I only have a 8MB video card. I cant put in another video card because its a laptop and the card is inside the motherboard that cannot be upgraded. Will this effect my game dramatically or not? e.g stamina, speed, progress?

Yes, this will effect your game dramatically. In fact, it may not run at all.
But, there is a solution. Buy an External Video Card. They generally plug into your USB or Firewire ports.

Yeah, it actually might not even run. If it does run, it will probably run so slow you won't want to play it.
Depending on what laptop you have, you MIGHT be able to upgrade the video card (usually not, but I have seen some in which you can).
You also might be able to allocate more RAM to video memory...look in your BIOS.
If you cannot upgrade it, there's really nothing you can do.

change/upgrade ur video card... the card can be upgrade, all u have to do is buy another powerfull video card with higher MB like ATI Radeon 64 MB, nVidia FX 5200 and so on, check ur local store for laptop graphic card.
i have experienced and now my AOE 3 works fine.

it probably won't even run but if it does the game will be very slow and there will be very low fps and the video will look horrible
