My girlfriend found out about my terrible wife and dumped me. I am concerned about my girlfriend telling my wife about us. Is there some kind of law that protects me? Can I get a restraining order to keep my girlfriend away from my wife. I don't really let my wife use the computer or phone, she really doesn't know how anyway.

If your wife is so terrible, then why are you so concerned with your girlfriend telling her? You don't LET her?! HA!!!! She needs to beat the hell out of you in the first place for not having any respect. Personaly, I hope she does tell your wife. You sure do not deserve her. There are laws that protect your wife from you commiting adultry. In some states you can be locked up for it. No, the only restraining order you can get is to keep her away from you, and only if you have a reason to keep her away. You should be alone for the rest of your life and have to wear a permanent sign to let everyone know how sorry of a person you are and how much of a low-life you are.

If you really think you have a terrible wife, why don't you get free of her? You know there is such a thing as separation and divorce. There is also marriage counseling and the certain fact that it takes two!!! You sound like you are just wanting your cake and to be able to eat it too! I think it's good that your girlfriend dumped you since you are still married to your "terrible" wife. Doesn't the male species understand what it means to make a vow? It is stronger than just giving your word on something. And a man's word used to be considered the same as a man's honor. You apparently have no honor! Shame on you! And I hope your wife does find out all about your extra activities! It will serve you right!

second you have to have a REASON for someone to have a restraining order other then because your a complete jerk and you don't want your wife to know you were cheating
third your wife probably doesn't know how to use the computer because you never let her learn..

Okay, you had an affair I'm assuming.
No there is no law that protects you being an awful husband. No, you cannot get a restraining order. As she did not harass your wife, there's nothing you can do.
I hope your wife divorces you :)

no there is no law that will keep your x away from your wife. in order to get a restraining order against her you need to feel that your actual physical life is in danger.

She can tell her all about it if she chooses to - you can't get a restraining order unless your former mistress starts stalking you or violates the law in some other way. You made your bed, now it is time to lay in it...

I like reading all of the comments from people judging...I guess they have never made a mistake in their lives, must be nice to be them.
I hope you kept your 2 lives separate. There really is no law to help you, so I hope your GF does not have all of your contact info, I am guessing if she dumped you she will not contact you.
The best approach is to talk to your wife before your ex gf does, get into counseling and apologize to your wife, its going to be a long and difficult road, but if you love your wife it is worth it.

Did it ever occur to you when you were boffing this other woman that maybe you were doing irreprable damage to your marriage? You don't care about your wife - you care about yourself! What about me? Can I be protected?
I feel NO pity for you. I hope your ex calls your wife and they have lunch, and that your wife leaves you behind. You want to be protected, but you weren't protecting the one you made your vows to. If you aren't happy in your marriage - get out of it. Period.
