A justice of the Supreme Court quits doing his job and spends all his time attending various sporting events. In fact, the justice even starts operating an illegal gambling racket on sporting events. What can be done about this?

a. The other justices can vote to expel the rabid sports fan.
b. The president has to wait until that justice resigns or dies before he can appoint a replacement.
c. Congress can impeach the nonfunctioning judge.
d. The people can vote the justice out of office in the next election.

If you can prove it then article two of the constitution says, "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." Doesn't say anything about being irresponsible but I think an illegal gambling racket would do it.

You have to first get rid of the irresponsible president who has appointed the irresponsible judge!
