During a reunion of the two former DX-ers, each begin wondering who was the most favorite of Chyna's. Each thinking he was.

Hilarity and matches ensue.

Chyna tells the gents that the only way to know who her fave is is to have a ladder match betwixt the two. At the top will be an envelope enclosed in a suitcase, which Chyna has written who her favorite ex really is.

Of course, it doesn't matter which wins, because neither was. Turns out the sexually ambiguous BA Billy Gunn really was and his "relationship" with Chuck was a front to cover it all up.

The match starts and HHH takes control working on HBK's back. He throws HBK out of the ring at one point and gets ready to pedigree him on the announcer table, which he hits. He drags HBK into the ring but HBK kicks out because of the delayed pin. Then HBK springs up, and starts some slingshot crossbodys until the third one when HHH catches him and spinebusts the showstopper. Again a near fall. This time when HHH picks HBK up HBK counters a neckbreaker and starts gaining momentum with some chops. He then hits an inverted atomic drop, followed by the scoop slam and the flying elbow. Then HBK starts tuning up the band, and just as he's about to hit sweet chim music, HHH catches his leg, and turns it into a pedigree. But HBK lowblows him quickly, and tries to build some momentum of the ropes, but HHH spinebusts him again. Triple H doesn't care about the match now, after the low blow, and brings in a sledgehammer, smacking HBK on the back, therefore getting disqualified. He waits for HBK to get on his feet, but before he can hit him again, sweet chin music is delivered. HBK wins already via disqualification and he had the last laugh.

This is the great American Bash and it's a no disqualification match. Things have been building up for a couple of weeks, with both men getting new partners (X-Pac gets John Cena because Cena hates the Game, and the Game gets HBK becasue they reunited but didn't allow X-Pac to rejoin the group.) HHH starts the match beating down blow after blow, move after move on X-Pac, who can't handle it. After a neck breaker, HHH finds himself preparing for the pedigree. But Cena runs out and knocks HHH down. Eventually this leads to the five star monkey shuffle. As Cena is doing this HBK has crept up behind him. Just as Cena is bending over, HHH low blows him. Cena cringes and turns around straight into a superkick. But X-Pac then gives HBK the X-Factor. As all the men are on the floor, HHH rolls out the ring. X-Pac manages to follow him, but gets hit by what HHH has brought out: A SLEDGEHAMMER! He rolls into the ring and pins X-pac but Cena breaks it up. The sledgehammer is dropped, but HBK springs up, grabs it and knocks out Cena (Which later means that Cena has to forfeit the title. Hurray.) But X-Pac then clotheslined HBK out the ring, but turns round into a pedigree. 1-2-3. Now the rest of the event is filled with DX chops.
