no cause your agp is powered through your motherboard. bigger graphics cards do take an extra power supply via a molex connector but these are standard on every power supply

I would recommend a HD4870 Radeon card that you can find for right around $150 with a GB of Video RAM I would recommend a Top Power 550W PS which I just saw on sale for $29 Your problem may be the case size, so before you order any of the high end video cards, make sure you have room. The 4870 is very long and the step ups from it is larger. In fact, the 3870 is very large as well. You may want to think about a new case as you are doing this, as the stock cases don't have a lot of room.

If it is just a budget AGP card (<$100), most likely it draws less than 25 watts and your power supply would be able to handle it. If it is one of the fast mainstream cards (>>$100), it could draw 45 watts or more. You should consider upgrading the power supply.

the is no such thing as an AGP power supply
the card will use either 5 v or 3.3 supply
from the main computer supply
as long as you have a nice 400-500 watt supply
you should have no problems

You just need to get a power supply with more wattage. Check out TigerDirect for good power supplies, I recommend Ultra...they are cheap and have a lifetime warranty.

depends... does it say you need to power it up seperately? if its a high end card then maybe... or are you talking about the power supply of the whole pc in general? around 500W should be fine
