As an Englishman who is currently in the USA on business i feel i must ask this.
I recently got thrown into prison for my passion for football related violence and drinking and as i sat there in my cell i often talked with my mates Slasher, Thumper and Clomper about Americans being very stupid and being like their stereotype.
Slasher said he once knew a American who went into a bookshop and asked "Have you any Shakespeare?"
The bookshop owner asked "which one?"
to which our American friend replied"William"

You know, when I go into a bookstore looking for a book, I usually give the title and author, so they know WHICH book i am looking for.
Pretty typical of bookstores to ask which book you are looking from from a particular author, since the most popular ones tend to write more than one book, then you have all the re-edited versions and so on.
and pretty typical of an idiot to not realize that.

That was, quite frankly, stupid. What is most sad about this is that you really think yourself a clever fella. Really, that wasn't even funny. There are so many other ways you could have made this funny, but you just didn't really pull it off so well.
