why would i vote for someone based on gender or ethnicity in the first place?

i hope it comes down to whether we want a black dude or a chick as president because that would mean we have solved all the really important issues and all we have left to pick at are the things we cant change.

With everything else being equal........the man would win. Our society still impresses on us that women are the caretakers and men are the protectors.

We would pick the candidate that most fits our political/personal beliefs. Race and gender have no part in it.....or at least they shouldn't.
