i bought a hard drive from a sale, thats running window xp .the problem is i can only sign on as a guest.How do i customized and gain full access to the cpu.

Try starting Windows in Safe Mode (press F8 just before Windows begins to load). You can usually log in as Administrator there.

If the guest account has full admin rights, you can go into Computer Management and set up an account giving you full rights.

If the guest account has general user rights, you won't be able to do this. You'll have to reinstall Windows in that case.

You can change the administrator password with a program, see source. There are a number of programs to help with this.
