I practice Reiki and have noticed the following...

if people have a chemical imbalance of any kind, or extra issues in their life, the energy from Reiki will adversely affect them. I have had experiences with people who have gotten depressed, anxious, just plain nutty and emotional from receiving Reiki.

Reiki practitioners cannot assume that everyone is chemically balanced or at a place in their life where they are ready to receive Reiki. It's important to ask the client about what is happening in their life and if they have any health problems. There are also illnesses people have that should avoid Reiki, such as diabetes.

I have worked with a woman who said she would go into depression whenever she received Reiki. First I told her to pray that she only receive the amount of Reiki she can handle and I prayed the same. I let her decide what symbols she felt she could handle and I put the control in her lap. That seemed to help a great deal.

Reiki makes people fall asleep, get drousy, and if they are not properly grounded yes, they will get dizzy as well...energy is very strong and some people are extra sensitive to it. Reiki dredges up all the junk under the surface as it fills people. If you have an issue with your stomach, Reiki will make it worse as it's asking you to address the problem associated with that. You have to be ready to address it, or do not seek it.

I hope I'm not sounding too firm. I just have heard people say Reiki never hurts only helps...and it's like the well meaning aunt who undermines your control by giving you money every month, cause you need it.

No, on the contrary, Reiki, is a therapy whereby the therapist is only a medium of transfer of energy. This energy gives you a sense of well-being and warm. Reiki involves energising the chakras or energy centres in your body. Once energized, you feel great. There is no dizziness nor feeling of being sick. I dont know what your practitioner does in the name of Reiki.
When the therapist administers reiki, you feel the transfer of energy flow into you. There is a warmth and white light flashing in your eyes. Many feel heat, some feel vibrations. Experiences are different in different people.
Seek the opinion of a good Reiki Grand Master.

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/JTzTp
For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.

I suppose it can.
I had acupuncture (maybe wrong spelling) and side effects of that can include nausea, dizziness and extreme tiredness.
Its all to do with the energy channels in your body.
Havent a clue how it all works but thought it may be of interest to you. Lot to be said for alternative medicine I reckon. The body is an amazing thing.
