There are firms specialising in extras, so a bit of research on the net and double checking that the firm exists via the phone book might help.
Keep your parents in on it as it would be easy for sicko's to be using this idea to attract underage girls. It goes without saying don't attend meetings, sign anything, or go to auditions without a parent (or older person can you trust to be sensible) being present.
A friend of mine did some work for a T V company.

Tom Hanks is making a film in Belfast very soon. Its about a group of people who, for some reason, have never seen the light of day. They need extras who have very pale skin, or could look ill if necessary. Feel free to apply for that. Thanks, no problems.
