im interning with the filmmaker. its about showing the positive side to NYC public housing. ive been calling local video stores and selling them by hand but does anyone have any other ideas?

See if you can get some guest appearances on TV or radio shows.
Also, contact some NYC newspapers or magazines for feature stories.

You've probably already thought of this but donate a copy to a city Library. Word of mouth does wonders. If the library has only one copy and it's well made word will spread. People will ask; "Where can I get a copy?"
