destroys one embryo while invitro can sometimes destroy 5 or more to produce one fetus, and often times it doesn't work at all. Why oppose one but not the other?

For those of you who apparently don't understand invitro, it involves inseminating eggs in a petri dish then implanting in the womb. Often times 5 or 6 will take, requiring the parents to opt to abort most, living them with twins (most clinics won't reduce down to less than two).

I oppose both.

The decision to create more than one embryo during an IVF cycle is a purely economic one. It's just cheaper for the insurance companies and the patient.

It is still morally abhorrent to destroy unique human life.

(Oh yeah, nice euphamism for killing human offspring: "reduce")

Log in on the protest website and sign a paper promising you will act in a non violent way on an identical time as protesting. come across and proceed to exist public supplies in any respect situations. you are able to desire to be arrested and jailed in case you step or walk on the health facility's supplies. Pray quietly throughout your bypass to in case you're protesting through non secular ideals. that's oftentimes accomplished in my opinion or on small communities. Your prayers should not be used to incite reactions from those traveling abortion clinics, as this may well be considered as coercion. carry a expert-life sign throughout your protest bypass to. deliver your individual sign or use an illustration provided by making use of the protest organizer. do not end and block the well-known public sidewalk in case you come to a decision to communicate to women shifting into or leaving the health facility. that's grounds for an arrest. bypass away the abortion health facility quietly taking each and every thing you delivered with you.

They used to oppose invitro fertilization just like they used to oppose all forms of birth control pills. They have just learned to accept it. That's why they don't bring it up anymore.

Good questin by the way.

because invitro isn't government funded and condoned. They don't protest private funding of embryonic stem cell research either.

edit - also they do appose the abortion part of invitro

There is a HUGE difference between impregnating a woman who WANTS to be a mother with 4 or 5 embryos where 2-3 of them don't take -VS- a 25 year old woman who's 6 months pregnant walking into a free clinic and asking the doctor to help her murder her unborn baby because her business suits don't fit anymore, and the people at the office are starting to notice.

FYI: Some insurance companies no longer pay for invitro ferilization because the liklihood of twins goes up significantly, resulting in higher costs. (found that out when my wife and I were in the NICU when our natural twins were born premature)

Because some abortion opponents have used in vitro techniques; they can't very well turn against it after that.
