Is there any truth in sperm dying once exposed to air??How do sperm banks keep their sperm??

Inside of a good environment like a woman's body sperm can live 4-5 days.
Sperm do not die when they hit air but shortly thereafter. By the time the semen is dry the sperm are all dead.
Sperm banks use freezing to preserve the sperm. I belive the longest a semen sample has been frozen by a bank and then used to achieve pregnancy is 28 years.

it can live for short periods but really does prefer warm, moist spots...t
