This is just a question of curiosity. I've heard that the length of your ring finger compared to your index finger could determine your sexuality. My index finger is longer and I'm straight. My sister's ring finger is longer and she is a lesbian. I was wondering if there was any truth to this. Any straight women out there with longer ring fingers or gay women with longer index fingers?

yes I've also heard that if your ring finger is longer it means that you have more testosterone. But wouldn't that make sense that if you are a women with more testosterone that you might be more inclined to be a lesbian. I don't know - I just thought this might be an interesting discussion....as to whether or not someone can be born with sexual orientation - which I most certainly believe they can be.

i heard that the length of our index and ring finders determine what hormone we have more. if the index finger is longer, you have more estrogen, if your ring finger is longer, you have more testosterone. it has nothing to do with the sexual orientation. this is what i know. hope it helps :P

I am a straight woman and I have been married for 23 years. We have a son. My ring finger is longer than my index finger. My husband has an index finger that is longer than his ring finger.

The index finger/ring finger length ratio shows only that some people were exposed to more, or less, testosterone in utero than others.
It's an interesting but presently useless scientific observation; It doesn't have any observable bearing on sexuality.

I read an article on this actually. I don't know but my ring finger is just a tad longer than my index... I can't believe that this would be a deciding factor, but you never know.

My ring is much longer than index, Im straight but I have high sex drive and I love sports and video games, and might have asbergers. I can talk easier with men than I do women.

On my right hand, my index finger is longer. On my left hand, my ring finger is longer. And on either hand, it's only a slight difference in the lengths. So, I dunno if I'm a good example of that theory being true, though I'm about as gay as they come. So...who knows.
