(1 John 5:3)  For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome. . .

People in the world at large do not observe Gods commandments, They choose for themselves what is right and wrong.

take just the moral laws of sex outside the marriage.
clearly condemmened in the bible,
its just a "good time" to most of the planet.

and people like to add to the laws too

for example
Thou shall not kill
is the law of god,
and mankind says
except if my neibor is trying to hurt me, or is doing something evil.... or whatever reason.....
the point is, by Gods defination, the love of God is shown by your actions, not your words.
