I was late paying on my water bill which is paid to the apartment complex, and i came home to an eviction notice. The water bill was only $30. Can i really be evicted for this? Isn't the first recourse to turn my water off?

They may not be able to turn your water off. If they did you couldn't live there very well anyhow, no flushing, no shower, no doing dishes the place would be filthy if you stayed.

Depends what country you live in regards to this.
To be evicted for not paying $30 is a bit rich, must be something more to the story, but then I guess if it is in your agreement to pay for your consumption then they are well within their right to get rid of you.

I know a fair bit about water suppliers so if you like email me and I might be able to offer some more advise, let me know what state your in.

they should have given you a few attempts to pay. im sure the notice is a 3 day pay or quit notice. contact the company and let them know you will make the payment asap this way you canm avoid eviction. im sure if you let them know they will allow it, once the accept payment the eviction process will stop.
