Not far. All around Australia, cities, bush, deserts. Much of the southern coastline and Tasmania by boat. Malaysia, Singapore (of course), Holland, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, all Scandinavia, England. First mate's seen more, but sadly her back and my vertigo problems cut us short on our way to Russia and we've "swallowed the anchor" since. But I reckon it's not where you've been - it's what you've learned that matters. Or is that just consolation? I'd certainly go again like a shot, with the First Mate, if we could.

Long enough to get to know the place? Some small towns in Pennsylvania, then Philadelphia, New York, Ann Arbor, Michigan, San Francisco, Palo Alto, California, Santa Cruz, California, Flagstaff, Arizona, Boulder Creek, California, and now St. Louis, Missouri. I was in Boston once for a weekend, Montreal twice for short visits, and Toronto once for an even shorter visit. Oh, and Ontario once for maybe a week. I saw Washington, DC, and Atlanta, Georgia, briefly, and drove through several towns in between on a Greyhound. The Greyhound bus terminals don't tell you anything about a town, though, do they? I also saw a lot of truck stops on my trip from Boulder Creek to St. Louis.

Today I will be locking myself in my apartment to pray for a friend of mine who is ill. I could have given a humorous answer, but I wanted to remain in a serious mood to handle this condition with God's intervention. If I could take away her pain and her disease, I would take it upon myself to feel it and to experience it so she wouldn't have to. No greater place I will be is in my room, unplugged from the world, in steadfast prayer for the love of my life. I know where in the world I have been, where I am, and where I am going, all in one. It starts here and now. Thank you and God bless.
