This is when the Earth aligns it's self in the center of the Milkyway. Both the Mians and Chinees profocies, say its the end of the world. Science says the poles will change and the conteneints will shift, thus close enough to it.
Forgive my spelling. I've been out of school to long.

While various myths suggest the end of the world at different dates in the magical year of 2012, I think that it is much more likely that the world, as we know it, will self destruct shortly after November of 2008 when hillary clinton is elected President of the USA.

The Earth will NOT align itself in the center with the Milky Way on December 12, 2012, or any other time. There is not even such a thing as the Earth aligning itself in the center of the Milky Way. That is a nonsense term made up by some idiot who doesn't know what reality is. Earth is not in the center of the Milky Way, and never will be.

Scientists do NOT say the continents will shift and the poles will change at that time. What scientists DO say is that the continents are ALWAYS shifting, at an inch or two per year, and that the MAGNETIC poles have switched many times and may be about to do so again, gradually over the next few thousand years.

My Chinese lover says there is no such prediction in China. They use a different calendar, so 12/21/12 would be different. This is year 4705 now, so 2012 will be 4710. The Chinese calendar is a lunar one, so 12/21 on our calendar will be in the 10th month on theirs. The date you mention is just the end of a Mayan calendar cycle. If they were still around, they'd simply begin a new calendar cycle. Our solar system is on the edge of our Milky Way Galaxy, so it is absurd to say it aligns with the center of the galaxy any more on one date than another. The Mayans and the ancient Chinese knew nothing about galaxies, so what you say is senseless. Science does not say the poles will change or any continents will shift in 2012. Whoever said that is an outrageous liar. You should check out any wild stuff you hear or read, rather than believing it without question. Your whole submission here is quite absurd. Who said such outrageous stuff?

Earth will completely and utterly refuse to leap 8.5 kpc just so some boneheaded prophets of doom weren't totally wrong in predicting it will align itself at the center of the Milky Way.

The Mayans and Chinese will rise and teach them proper spelling in a very apocalyptic way.

Science will maintain that it was totally drunk when it said that, only to change its claim to never ever drinking a drop when it turns out it never even said that in the first place.

I will still be wondering while all those boneheaded prophets feel 21-12-2012 is a more remarkable date than 20-12-2012 and just attribute it to the fact that most Americans are totally ignorant of the fact that different conventions for date format than theirs even exist.
