except for the fact he wants us to give him more training and guns...

Iraq is such a question mark of how to proceed. I read a recent story that interviewed the people of Iraq, citizens, about what should be done. There were many opinions, but, ALL agreed that if American troops left now, soon, the country would fall to severe violence, much more than is witnessed today. So, to answer your question, it seems doubtful the current Iraqi regime could control the bllodshed and violence should we leave right now. Then, the question becomes, is this still acceptable to Americans, and, if not, are we ready to occupy Iraq for as long as 10 - 15 years?

because of the fact that we invaded them on the pretense of weapons of Mass Destruction being there and there have been none, we'd desire to continually have left then. No Iraqi had something to do with 9/11 and if Iraq does not want us there, then we'd desire to continually go away. in any different case we are able to be occupiers. And Democracy supposedly is against occupiers. I additionally help Obama's withdrawl plan and have faith as he did that we'd desire to continually in no way have been there interior the 1st place. What got here approximately to shooting Bin encumbered, the mastermind of 9/11?

Good morning. I think he just said this to get support in his country, but does not really want the US forces to leave. I think he probably doesn't want to seem like he is depending upon the American presence as it makes him look weak. or he may just understand that our military being there is having a mixed affect.

Perhaps he's just resigned to the fact that whenever we do leave, what will follow will be utter chaos (Making what's happening now seem calm in comparison), culminating in an all-out, three party civil war. This is inevitable at this point, so maybe he just wants to get it over with.

It doesn't matter!
We will never settle "THEIR" conflict that we started! If we left, someone would have to settle it, wouldn't they?
I know, the stumbling block is all that oil!
And we haven't stabilized a damn thing in almost 5 years! Want to try for 10?

I read that yesterday and was thinking, "Wow, it's about time!"......then I read on and saw that he would like the US to stay because the police and military could use more weapons training!!!! It would be nice to see our fellow countrymen come home but I don't think this will happen any time too soon :(

If he is the Prime Minister and he wants the foreign troops to go then they should go. It is pretty arrogant to say he is delusional. It is his country.
