Most Americans are respectable people; but, the minorities that are ignorant to what is happening in the world around them. I have my opinion on why but would like to know what other feel.

American's are not being singled out...there are ignorant in all countries...just that on here when I ask a question regarding Europe; some Americans seem to think they know it all and are ignorant...just from what I see here...the war is the Middle East and not here....but the minority of Americans have brought to this forum

As to a question of why do I single out Americans - I posted a question on where to move in Europe and found some American's that said come to the US. My husband is American and we have lived there and would never return. I am not only Canadian but also Irish so we have decided to move to Europe and if we returned we would not move back to the US due to the minority that are not educated and are ignorant.

Some people in every country are ignorant and prejudiced. It is not the majority in any society or any country, thankfully. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the barrel. MOST Americans, like most people from any country, are truly good people who just want what is best for their families, their country and the world.

people see issues through different points of view. They justify their opinions as they see fit. One person may see a sodomy case as following to closely. While most see it as a violation of the moral code. And still others may take it as an affront to them personally. Education, environment , upbringing and a host of things contribute. Some people hate Blacks! They honestly don't know why, they just do! If you can answer that question, then you can answer yours as well. It does not have to make sense, it is just the way they see things. An open mind is the best solution. All they need to do, is find the "Can opener"!

You assume things, but you don't really know... The way people are brought up is the way the factor of ignorance is brought up. What is the point of this question anyway? There are ignorant people everywhere, and america is no different it has nothing to do with nationality it is each individual. You can't generalize this way...
