Kelly;

Cancer (all types), at the risk of oversimplification, come from the same one source: the carcinogenic effect from trapped toxins.

Your body, the way God and nature put her together, does a rather good job of flushing toxins out. If you are living in a toxin rich environment (inner-city, next to certain manufacturing plants, etc), then it is MORE important to make sure the toxin flushing properties of your body are not hampered.

That means:

1) Drink plenty of fluids. Lots of water helps keep your body hydrated, and the hydration helps keep the natural flushing movements going. The body's natural flushing mechanisms involve sweat, pee, and, to a lesser extent, poop. If you don't drink enough fluids, the two main mechanisms (sweat and pee) do not work as well.

2) Do not wear restrictive clothing that prevents your body parts from moving. In our western society that would be the bra. Wearing a bra stops the breast from flushing the toxins out. It also stops the lymph glands from flushing toxins out. I have addressed this point in several other answers to other questions about breast cancer.

Fools will tell you that there is no link between bras and breast cancer, but when you press them for proof, they have none. There is proof that the link exists, but the willfully blind will not see it. Those who profit from the breast cancer industry will not accept it until they are forced to, just like those who profited (and still do) from the tobacco industry refused to acknowledge the link between smoking and cancer.

Another point about wearing a bra: the tight fitting, especially underwire type, bras also cause a greater number of fibrous cysts, which are larger than normal -- much larger. This overpopulation of cysts causes a greater blockage of the natural movement of fluids through the breasts, thus increasing the likelyhood of trapped toxins doing their damage.

All in all, bras are bad for you. Is wearing a bra worth a 1-in-6 change of loosing your breast(s) or life?

3) Do not apply chemicals that artificially hamper the sweat mechanisms. Deodorants and powders that absorb are OKAY. It is the anti-perspirants that cause the problems. It is not because the anti-perspirant has some funky chemical that might be absorbed by the body -- even if it did (and some do), the body could flush it right back out. The problem is that the anti-perspirant STOPS the sweat mechanism, thus trapping the toxin in the body.

Okay, so this answer was overkill. You asked a rather simple question with a rather simple answer. Several already gave that simple answer. But I have been in the medical industry since the 70's. I've seen questions like this, and seen the underlying fear behind them. So I tried to answer the question behind the question.
