Is it normal to have more contractions at night and early in the morning. This has been going on for about 3 or 4 days. I am fime during the day and when I take a nap. But at night is when I start having the pains. Has anyone else gone thru this also? And if so how did you get sleep!!!

What you are going through is totally normal. I had contractions like this with my third pregnancy. They could subside during the day. I went twice to the birthing center and they sent me back! My midwife just told me to find ways to relax right before going to bed - anything to help you get a good night's sleep (warm bath, massage, oils, tea, taking half of a unisom tablet, etc.).

Yes, because you are more relaxed and when you are relaxed, so are your muscles. I have heard trying to rest on your left hand side with a pillow in between your knees may help.

Good Luck

yes cuz that is when your body is relaxed and you feel more things. Kind of like when kids are sick they seem to get sicker in the middle of the night. It would be wise to check with your doc though to make double sure.

Try drinking a glass of cold water and lay with your feet up for for about and hour and if it still continues then call your dr.
