Do you consider the Straightedge lifestyle to be a beneficial culture , or social pariah?

I am pretty much living it. I don't drink (except that one time when I turned 21 which I still am 21) don't smoke and don't do drugs. I am waiting to have sex until I am married or at least engaged. IT seems like it pretty much excludes you from normal social groups. I don't drink so when I go out with people I am usually made fun of for not drinking. I get made fun of for being a virgin all the time. Quite frankly, I wouldn't recommend it.
