What part of ‘illegal’ do immigrants, or the rest of America for that matter, not understand? There is a legal way, and an illegal way to come into this country. You do it illegally, you get sent back…and you don’t think that’s fair?
Did you know that 28% of Mexico’s GDP is based on illegal immigrants here in the States sending untaxed money back to Mexico?
Did you know that 74% of all dept of hospitals in the SW are because of illegal immigrants using hospital emergency rooms? (guess who’s paying for that by the way? That’s right…YOUR tax dollars!)
Did you know that the restrictions on Americans immigrating to Mexico (yes, thousands do it every year!) is tougher than Mexicans moving here?
You may find it odd, but I love Mexico. Their culture and people are rich and their music is great. But why don't you fix your OWN government and stop weighing ours down?

i agree. There was a time when America could absorb new people. But our open spaces are not unlimited. America has enough problems looking after ti own poor and elderly without taking on more burden. Remember these people are mostly in low paying jobs and hence will need a lot of government aid.

I believe the mexican gov't is working together wiht america on possible solutions for the immigration issue. However there is one particular part of your question that baffles me and i would just like to draw your attention to that, you say that "their culture and people are rich"That is a pretty broad statement and dont you think if all mexican people were rich and satisfied they would not be looking at alernative options to improving their quality of life wether a move to the states is part of that or not..Please be a little more open minded surely someone that has a college education and as you say educates themselves should not find this to much of a hurdle to overcome............

Have you ever played baseball? Do you understand the concept of stealing a base? Do you realize that you only get punished if you get caught? Well that, in a nutshell, is the history of america. You got a problem with that?

you can talk about them being 'illegal' until you are blue in the face. The question is what should we and can we do about it.

There are 12 Million illegal aliens in the US. It is not only unrealistic, but unethical to deport them (many are parents of american born children who are US citizens).

Better to allow them a path to becoming legal, so that they can work above board and then you can collect taxes from them.
